FIRA Awards at the House of Lords
As guests of Lord Hoyle, representatives of the furniture industry met at the House of Lords for a glittering reception and awards presentation on 13 July hosted by FIRA.
Guests were welcomed by FIRA Chairman Ken Fullalove and Managing Director Hayden Davies. The highlight of the event was the presentation of awards, the FIRA Gold Award, a prestigious, internationally recognised mark of excellence, demonstrating quality and workmanship; and the FIRA Ergonomics Excellence Award, for products with outstanding ergonomic features that promote well-being and help to improve efficiency. Thirty products from 15 companies achieved the Ergonomics Excellence Award, for products as varied as laptop holders, office desks and seating. The Installation Gold Award this year went to Homebase for their installation services, and the Product Gold Award went to Spen Valley for a number of kitchen ranges.
FIRA Chairman, Ken Fullalove, said: “It is so encouraging to see people being passionate about this industry and striving for the best. We are immensely proud of their achievements.”
