Competitiveness of the UK furniture manufacturing industry
This detailed analysis of the UK furniture industry was published in late 2002. It aims to determine the competitiveness of the industry and to understand how the position might change in the future so that efforts to assist improvements can be targeted in the most appropriate direction. The report is based on statistical and anecdotal evidence combined with a detailed analysis of industry opinion. It contains a summary of statistics over the period 1995 to 2000, looks at key performance indicator averages for the UK ,other countries and other industries and makes recommendations for future actions. The accompanying CD ROM contains considerable detail on industry opinion (suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and specifiers) concerning 13 key competitiveness factors.
