ukfirst to launch Lean Interactive
ukfirst is to launch a practical and stimulating training package in October for all manufacturing organisations to help make improvement a reality.
Lean Interactive is a comprehensive software package, comprised of individual Teachpoints to help manufacturers make significant improvements to their business. Taking a straightforward approach, Lean Interactive strips out the management jargon and concentrates on the core issues affecting manufacturing today.
Three Teachpoints are available in the package; Work & Waste, Workplace Organisation and Measures. Case study examples demonstrate the link between business theory and real life improvements, complete with hands-on activities to help companies to do it themselves, including video clips, sound bytes and presentations.
Lean Interactive is an ideal training tool for any company and is versatile enough to use individually or within a team environment. The entire organisation can make use of this package; from the Managing Director to those on the production line.
John Baldwin, Programme Director of ukfirst said: “It has been widely publicised that within the current market, manufacturers are unlikely to survive without adopting some elements of Lean practice. ukfirst believe that the only way to truly encourage change within your business is to ensure that the entire organisation live and breathe Lean.”
Dr Sharon Williams, Lecturer in Lean Healthcare at The University of Warwick said: “This is a well presented and a good training tool for all levels of staff within the organisation, depending on where they are in their journey.”
If you want to gain a greater understanding of lean, cascade continuous improvement knowledge throughout your entire organisation and most importantly achieve bottom line savings, Lean Interactive is an essential tool for your business.
