ukfirst to take furniture manufacturers to Toyota
ukfirst is taking a group of furniture manufacturers to Toyota's Burnaston plant in Derbyshire for a best practise visit on Tuesday 11th September 2007. This is the third of a series of best practise visits run by ukfirst this year, which has already included opportunities to look around the JCB and Jaguar/Land Rover plants. ukfirst works with furniture manufacturers to assist in the generation of sustainable process improvements which will not only improve competitiveness, but will also enhance customer satisfaction.
Toyota employs 4,800 people in the UK, representing a total investment in excess of £1.75 billion and the visit will enable members of the furniture trade to see lean manufacturing principles in practise and show how successful operations performance both shapes and influences the sales and profit ambition of a business.
Programme Director John Baldwin said: "This day is aimed specifically at owners or senior executives wishing to know more about how lean manufacturing can benefit a business and is designed to inspire!"
Places are limited for this FREE visit so book early to avoid disappointment by contacting Alex Woodfield on 01438 777725 or email
