By Road (Northbound)
- Leave the A1(M) at Junction 7 (signposted - Stevenage).
- Turn right at the first roundabout (at the top of the motorway slip road) take the 3rd exit onto the A602 (signposted Stevenage)
- Entering Stevenage A602
- At roundabout take the 1st exit (slip road) onto the A1072 (signposted - Industrial Areas)
- Take right-hand lane through underpass (signposted – Hitchin) A1072
- At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto A1072. (ukfirst is on the other side of the dual carriageway)
- At roundabout take 4th exit, returning back along the other side of the same dual carriageway.
- At the end of the road, Maxwell Road is immediately left before entering the roundabout.
- Arrive at ukfirst
By Road (Southbound)
- Leave the A1(M) at Junction 8 (signposted - Hitchin, Stevenage)
- At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A602 (signposted - Stevenage)
- Entering Stevenage A602
- At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Hitchin Road - A602
- At roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A1072 (signposted - Gunnells Wood Ind Area)
- At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A1072
- At the end of the road, Maxwell Road is immediately left before entering the roundabout.
- Arrive at ukfirst
Car Parking
There is a limited amount of visitor parking outside ukfirst reception (1st right in Maxwell Road). If when you arrive there is no parking, please inform reception where they will be able to help you.
Pedestrian Route
From Stevenage Town Centre to Stevenage Station
The Station is signposted.
Take the high level walkway through the Leisure Centre to the station Booking Hall. From there follow the pedestrian instructions from the Stevenage Station below.
From Stevenage Station
- Turn right out of the Booking Hall, through the automatic doors and right again down the long ramp parallel with the track.
- Turn left into Argyle Way
- Take the first right (cross roads)
- Follow the path to the right and take the subway under the dual carriageway.
- On emerging from the subway turn left
- ukfirst is situated at the bottom of the road, to your right before entering another subway.
By Taxi
Taxi's are always available from the station forecourt and often pass the bus station in the Town Centre.
By Rail
Stevenage is well served by rail on the East coast line between Kings Cross and Edinburgh. There are also direct connections with Cambridge, Kings Lynn and Leeds in the City. All local and most intercity trains stop at Stevenage.
London Airports
Heathrow
- By Heathrow Express to Paddington and then on the underground to Kings Cross railway station.
- Stevenage trains leave from the suburban line platform Nos. 9, 10 & 11.
- 'Fast' train frequency - every 30 mins.
- Alternatively, catch the 'JetLink' coach (hourly) to Stevenage town centre.
Gatwick
- By express train to Victoria Station then Victoria Line underground to Kings Cross railway station.
- Stevenage trains leave from the suburban line platform Nos. 9, 10 & 11.
- 'Fast' train frequency - every 30 mins.
- Alternatively, catch the 'JetLink' coach (hourly) to Stevenage town centre.
Luton
- By 'JetLink' coach (hourly) to Stevenage town centre.
Stansted
- By train to London Liverpool St., then the Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City or Circle Line to Kings Cross railway station.
- Stevenage trains leave from the suburban line platform Nos. 9, 10 & 11.
- 'Fast' train frequency - every 30 mins
